Drumming for Mindfulness - Rhythm and Sound Series

Engage in self-care, relax, and form connections with our four-week rhythm and sound series this fall at Bosler Library! In this series, you’ll get instruction on various drums and percussion instruments, and learn how to use them to make music, have fun, relax, and get creative. You will learn to use natural stress relief techniques that can help you feel happier and sleep better. Benefits are enhanced when we practice these tools together, so our series will conclude with a group drum circle.

Sessions:

January 6 - Introduction

January 20 - Individual Wellness

February 3- Restorative Sound

February 17- Group Music Making and Sound Connection

Instruments are provided, but you are welcome to bring your own drum if you are able. No musical ability is required to participate, and all are welcome. Recommended age 13+. Class sessions start in January biweekly on Fridays and occur biweekly until February 17. *Free but registration required. Participants are welcome to attend as many sessions as comfortable.
