Rep. Thomas Kutz of Cumberland has announced that a $250,000 grant has been awarded to a project by the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources in Upper Allen Township. The funding is provided through the Community Conservation Partnership Program (C2P2) and will be used for the rehabilitation and further development of Grantham Park.

The planned improvements for Grantham Park include constructing a fishing pier, gazebo, developing trails, and expanding parking facilities. These enhancements aim to benefit outdoorsmen and nature enthusiasts who frequent the park.

“Grantham Park serves as a key green space for area residents,” stated Kutz. “I am glad to see dollars from the C2P2 grant program invested in this local park, so current and future residents, as well as visitors can enjoy time spent in nature. We are blessed to live in a beautiful part of the Commonwealth where parks and recreational opportunities are abundant and well-used.”

The C2P2 receives funding from various state and federal sources such as the Keystone Recreation, Park and Conservation Fund (Key 93), Environmental Stewardship Fund (ESF), federal Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF), Pennsylvania Trails Fund (PRT – federal source), Pennsylvania Heritage Area Program (HA), and ATV Restricted Management Account Fund (ATV).

For further inquiries regarding this event, interested parties can contact Kutz’s office at 717-975-2235.
