State Rep. Thomas Kutz | Pennsylvania 87th Legislative District
Today, Representative Thomas Kutz announced the allocation of $9.5 million in grant funding for projects within the 87th Legislative District. The funds come from the Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RACP) and the Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED).
"Today's grant awards are a major win for the residents of Cumberland County," said Kutz. "These important projects will create family-sustaining jobs, foster economic development, and provide much-needed infrastructure improvements in our fast-growing community."
The grants have been distributed as follows: Upper Allen Township received $6.25 million, South Middleton Township was awarded $1.5 million, Silver Spring Township obtained $800,000, and Lower Allen Township secured $1 million.
RACP is a Commonwealth grant program managed by the Office of the Budget aimed at supporting regional economic, cultural, civic, recreational, and historical improvement projects.
In addition to this announcement, last week saw another allocation of $3.7 million in statewide Local Share Account grants (LSA) and Public School Facility Improvement Grants (PSFIG). Together with today's announcement, Kutz has facilitated over $13 million in funding to enhance communities in Cumberland County.
