The Luhrs Performing Arts Center at Shippensburg University welcomes comedian, Jeff Allen for his “The America I Grew Up In Tour” on Thursday, April 28th, 2022. Jeff Allen combines clean, hilarious humor like no other comedian working today. He regularly appears on television, radio and in venues across the country, but he is stopping into the Luhrs Center for a night filled with laughter that you do not want to miss!
Jeff Allen is in his fifth decade as a working comedian. You may have seen him on America’s Got Talent, Netflix, Amazon Prime, Huckabee, Pureflix, Warner Bros., Comedy Central, VH-1, Showtime, TBN, CBN, Family Net and numerous other television networks. He can be heard regularly on SiriusXM’s comedy channels, also Pandora and Spotify. He has performed for our troops on aircraft carriers and ships in the Indian Ocean. Look for him on the most popular comedy internet sensation, Dry Bar Comedy, where Jeff has surpassed 200 million views on Facebook and YouTube. Jeff has also produced and starred in his own sitcom pilot for Castlerock Television and in the critically acclaimed films, “Apostles of Comedy.”
“The America I Grew Up In Tour” showcases Jeff’s comedy and the humor found in everyday family life, the ups and downs of marriage, the challenge of raising children, the bliss of an empty nest, followed by the unexpected returns to said nest and the joys of being a grandparent. The audience will enjoy taking this journey along with Jeff as he nostalgically weaves in how our country has changed since his years in the sixties.
The Luhrs Performing Arts Center is located at 475 Lancaster Drive, Shippensburg PA, on the campus of Shippensburg University. The Luhrs Center is easily accessible from Exits 24 and 29 of Interstate 81 and can be accessed from the Pennsylvania Turnpike and many points in Central Pennsylvania and the Middle Atlantic Region.
The Center is fully accessible and offers close, convenient, and free parking. The Orrstown Bank Lobby opens one-hour before showtime and features an assortment of beverages, beer, and liquor including a handcrafted collection of regional microbrews on tap, new for the Spring 2022 season. Exclusive merchandise from the world tour will be available.
