BOROUGH OF SHIPPENSBURG: King Street Water Line Project Update

Borough of Shippensburg issued the following announcement on June 11

****UPDATE JUNE 11, 2020****

NEXT WEEK UPDATES!!!!!!! WEEK of JUNE 15th!

PLEASE NOTE THAT RONCA WILL BE PAVING (FINAL RESTORATION) STARTING MONDAY, JUNE 15TH.  WORK WILL START AT THE CROSS AT KING/WAKLNUT BOTTOM HEADING WEST TO PRINCE STREET.

  • Monday, June 15th PAVING CREW
    • Saw cut starting at the cross intersection of King/Walnut Bottom – THERE WILL BE TRAFFIC PATTERN ADJUSTMENTS/ALTERNATING LANES, ETC!
  • Monday, June 15th WATERLINE CREW
    • Connect hydrants at King/Queen (SW corner)
    • THERE WILL BE SINGLE LANE/ALTERNATING TRAFFIC  LANES!!!!!
  • Tuesday, June 16th PAVING CREW
    • Start paving at the cross intersection of King/Walnut Bottom – THERE WILL BE TRAFFIC PATTERN ADJUSTMENTS/ALTERNATING SINGLE LANE!!!!!!!
  • Tuesday, June 16th WATERLINE CREW
    • Reconnect hydrant at S. Walters/King
    • THERE WILL BE ALTERNATING/SINGLE LANE TRAFFIC!
  • Wednesday, June 17th PAVING CREW
    • Saw cutting/and or paving continues heading west – THERE WILL BE TRAFFIC PATTERN ADJUSTMENTS/ALTERNATING SINGLE LANE!!!!!!
  • Wednesday, June 17th, 2020 WATERLINE CREW
    • Reconnect services between Prince and Penn
    • There may be times when traffic is reduced to single lane (south side reconnections)
  • Thursday, June 18th, 2020 PAVING CREW
    • Saw cutting/and/or paving continues heading west and ending at Prince –THERE WILL BE TRAFFIC PATTERN ADJUSTMENTS/ALTERNATING SINGLE LANE!!!!!!!
  • Thursday, June 18th, 2020 WATERLINE CREW
    • Reconnect services between Prince and Penn
    • There may be times when traffic is reduced to single lane (south side reconnections)
SCHEDULE IS SUBJECT TO WEATHER CONDITIONS, ETC. FRIDAY, JUNE 19TH IS MAKE UP DAY.
