With a focus on enhancing the future of Pennsylvania, House Policy Committee Chair David H. Rowe has announced his appointees for vice and deputy chairs. These appointments aim to support efforts in delivering policy solutions for a more prosperous state.

Rep. Kristin Marcell will serve as the Policy Committee vice chair. The appointed deputy chairs include Reps. Eric Nelson, Dallas Kephart, Torren Ecker, Barb Gleim, and Dane Watro.

The Policy Committee functions as an incubator of ideas and is considered a vital resource for innovative policy solutions within the House. It aims to represent businesses, workers, students, and families across Pennsylvania. During the 2025-2026 Legislative Session, the committee plans to hold frequent hearings throughout the Commonwealth to identify pressing issues and develop meaningful solutions based on gathered intelligence.

The committee's initial focus will be on conducting hearings about excellence in education. "I am honored to serve alongside these six members, who represent diverse geographies and bring unique areas of expertise to the Policy Committee," said Rowe. "We are going to bring the American Dream back to the forefront, making it attainable for all Pennsylvanians by advocating for less red tape, lower taxes, and ensuring that every child in the Commonwealth has access to an excellent education."
