Rep. Thomas Kutz, a Republican from Cumberland, has been appointed to several significant committees as he begins his second term representing Pennsylvania's 87th District. After being sworn in on Tuesday, Kutz was assigned to the House Appropriations; Consumer Protection, Technology and Utilities; Finance; Insurance; Rules; and Intergovernmental Affairs and Operations committees for the 2025-26 session.

Kutz has previous experience with these committees, having served on the House Appropriations and Finance committees last session. Additionally, he has worked on tax policy for the House Committee on Ways and Means in Congress.

"My legislative priorities for this session can be distilled into one idea—making Pennsylvania and Cumberland County better places to live, work and raise a family," said Kutz. "I’m excited to work through these committees to put policy ideas into motion to reach that goal."

He added, "I’m also grateful to receive these key appointments at such a pivotal time for our Commonwealth. I look forward to working with colleagues and stakeholders to advocate for thoughtful policy updates that address major issues that impact the lives of our constituents."

The 87th District covers Silver Spring, Monroe, South Middleton, Upper Allen, Lower Allen townships, as well as Mount Holly Springs Borough.

For inquiries about these appointments, contact Kutz’s office at 717-975-2235.
