The Shippensburg University men's basketball team travels to face No. 3 IUP on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. in a PSAC Semifinal at the KCAC.

This is Shippensburg's first time facing IUP in the PSAC Tournament since the 2020 PSAC Championship game won by the Crimson Hawks, 77-59 at Shippensburg. It is only the fourth time that the two teams have faced each other in the PSAC Tournament since 1980; SU won in the 2017 PSAC Semifinals as mentioned above and also posted a 66-61 victory in the 2006 PSAC Quarterfinals at Shippensburg.

This is Shippensburg's fifth appearance in the PSAC Semifinals in the last six seasons dating back to 2016. The Raiders are 5-1 in this span: SU won at home vs. Mercyhurst in 2020 (59-51), lost to Gannon at East Stroudsburg in 2018 (81-70), won at IUP in 2017 (90-87 in OT) and lost to Mercyhurst at West Chester in 2016 (79-68).

Shippensburg is 18-13 in the PSAC Tournament since 1980, including 12-5 under head coach Chris Fite. SU is 8-1 at home, 7-7 on the road, and 3-5 at neutral sites.

Shippensburg is 3-4 in PSAC Semifinal games since 1980, having posted a 1-0 record at home, 1-1 record on the road and a 1-3 record at neutral sites.

The winner will advance to the PSAC Championship game on Sunday at IUP. Saturday's other semifinal features East No. 1 seed Millersville and West No. 2 seed Mercyhurst and will be played at 1 p.m.
