Hampden issued the following announcement on Feb. 25.
Hampden Township Board of Commissioners awards the purchase and installation of a new double-flume waterslide to be installed at Hampden Pool for the 2022 season. The new 16 foot tall slide will replace the single-flume slide installed in 1991. The lowest responsive bidder was Lobar Construction who will install the waterslide manufactured by Avalanche Waterslide at a cost not to exceed $514,112. Hampden Pool will sell early bird discounted season memberships to the pool through March 31. Daily admission to the pool will also be an option through the summer.
