Six Women’s Soccer Players named to 2022 Division II Academic All-District

The Shippensburg University women's soccer team had six 2022 Division II Academic All-District ® honorees, an award that recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performance on the field and in the classroom.
 
Senior Alyse Caffrey is an academic senior who is majoring in special education and early childhood education. She maintains a 3.59 cumulative grade-point average GPA through the completion of more than 90 credits.
 
Caffrey appeared in all 18 games and made 10 starts for the Raiders this season. She tallied two goals, an assist and five points. In her career she appeared in 39 games and started in 14 games and tallied three goals, four assists and 10 points.
 
Senior Alexandra Cottingham is an academic senior who is dual majoring in finance and marketing. She maintains a 3.65 GPA through the completion of more than 90 credits.
 
Cottingham in 15 games and made three starts for the Raiders this season on defense and midfield. In her career she appeared in 26 games and made four starts.
 
Sophomore Morgan Molyneaux is an academic sophomore who is majoring in exercise science with a human performance and fitness concentration. She maintains a 3.97 GPA through the completion of more than 90 credits.
 
Molyneaux started in 12 of the 18 games in goal for the Raiders, as the primary goalkeeper. She totaled a 3-5-4 record and made 79 total saves. In her career, she has totaled 102 saves with a 4-7-4 overall record.
 
Senior Emma Oberholtzer is an academic senior who is majoring in chemistry with a concentration in biochemistry. She maintains a 3.77 GPA through the completion of more than 90 credits.
 
Oberholtzer started in 17 of the 18 games played as the primary defender. She scored her only goal this season on Senior Day against Lock Haven. Overall, she has appeared in 49 games and started 34 games, and totaled two goals, an assist and five points in her career. She is also minoring in biology and has her ACS certification.
 
Senior Lauren Ocker is an academic senior who is majoring in exercise science with a concentration in allied health pre-professional. She maintains a 4.0 GPA through the completion of more than 90 credits.
 
Ocker started in 17 of the 18 games she played as the primary defender. She scored the game-winning goal against East Stroudsburg this year. In her career, she appeared in 53 games and started in 48 games, with a total of five goals, three assists and 18 points. She also serves as the vice president of Tau Kappa women's athletic honor society.
 
Junior Sofia Pittas is an academic junior who is majoring in Biology with a concentration in pre-veterinary. She maintains a 3.56 GPA through the completion of more than 90 credits.
 
Pittas appeared in 15 games and made 12 starts on defense. In her career she has appeared in 27 games and has one assist.
 
The Academic All-District ® Team is selected by the College Sports Communicators.
 
All six Raiders are now among those eligible for consideration for the Academic All-America ® Team that will be announced Dec. 6.
