RECAP: Women’s Soccer battles to a 2-2 tie against Lock Haven

The Shippensburg University women's soccer team ended in a 2-2 draw with Lock Haven on Saturday evening in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division matchup on Senior Day at David See Field.

Shippensburg (5-6-5, 4-5-5 PSAC East) gained an early lead after graduate Imogen Longcake found senior Skylar Lambert for her fourth goal of the season. Lambert is now tied for the team lead in goals.

Lock Haven (3-8-5, 1-8-5) tied the game just seven minutes later with a goal from Evelyn Ciaccia off an assist from Mackenzie Hernley. Ciaccia scored another goal at the 28:38 mark, giving the Bald Eagles the lead at halftime.

The Raiders fought to tie the game with under 20 minutes left when senior Emma Oberholtzer headed the ball into the net off a corner from junior Sofia Pittas.

Shippensburg led the way with shots on goal at seven to five for the Bald Eagles. Junior goalkeeper Kendra Barlow tallied three saves for the Raiders.

Shippensburg heads to Mansfield Wednesday 3 p.m. for its final road match of the regular season.
