Rep. Barb Gleim of Cumberland has announced that over $2.7 million in state grants have been allocated for various projects within the 199th Legislative District. These funds are aimed at improving sewer and water infrastructure as well as supporting arts and culture initiatives.

"This grant funding is essential for the health and growth of our communities," Gleim stated. "Ensuring residents have safe and reliable water and sewer services, as well as access to enriching cultural programs, are important components to every community, which is why I advocated for this funding."

The Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA) has awarded grants to several entities in the district:

- The South Middleton Township Municipal Authority will receive $1.75 million for the construction of the Well No. 1 Water Tank in South Middleton Township, Cumberland County.

- The Borough of Carlisle is set to receive $520,000 for rehabilitating its Regional Sanitary Sewer System pipes near the Ridge Street Wastewater Pumping Station.

- The Newburg-Hopewell Joint Authority has been granted $420,750 for sewer mains rehabilitation within Newburg Borough.

- The Carlisle Arts Learning Center will obtain $18,615 to cover operating expenses.

- The Carlisle Regional Performing Arts Center will receive $16,304 to assist with its operating expenses.

The CFA was established in 2004 as an independent agency under the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development to manage economic stimulus packages.
