Rep. Barb Gleim of Cumberland County is set to host an event titled "Ice Cream and Issues" at Letort Park in Carlisle on September 18, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. The event was initially planned for earlier this summer but was postponed due to a scheduling conflict.

Gleim aims to use the gathering as a platform for residents to learn about the state budget and discuss concerns regarding food processing residuals. "These events are very casual," said Gleim. "While attendees are enjoying an ice cream treat, I will provide an update on some recent issues. Those in attendance will then have an opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback. This is a great way to have a conversation about issues important to you in an informal setting."

The meeting offers community members a chance to engage directly with their representative in a relaxed environment while discussing topics of local interest.
