Rep. Thomas Kutz of Cumberland County has announced a significant financial boost for Grantham Park in Upper Allen Township. A $250,000 grant has been allocated through the Community Conservation Partnership Program (C2P2) to support the rehabilitation and development of the park.
The grant will fund several enhancements, including the construction of a fishing pier, a gazebo, trail development, and expanded parking facilities. These improvements aim to enhance the park's appeal to both locals and visitors who enjoy outdoor activities.
Kutz expressed his satisfaction with the investment: “Grantham Park serves as a key green space for area residents,” he stated. “I am glad to see dollars from the C2P2 grant program invested in this local park, so current and future residents, as well as visitors can enjoy time spent in nature. We are blessed to live in a beautiful part of the Commonwealth where parks and recreational opportunities are abundant and well-used.”
The funding for C2P2 comes from various state and federal sources such as the Keystone Recreation, Park and Conservation Fund (Key 93), Environmental Stewardship Fund (ESF), federal Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF), Pennsylvania Trails Fund (PRT – federal source), Pennsylvania Heritage Area Program (HA), and ATV Restricted Management Account Fund (ATV).
