Rep. Thomas Kutz of Cumberland and the House Republican Policy Committee, led by Chairman Josh Kail, held a hearing in Boiling Springs to discuss policies aimed at boosting business, job creation, and family support in Pennsylvania.

The event, titled "Pathways to Prosperity: Igniting Growth Through Pro-Family Policies," included contributions from several key figures: David Samella of Vitro Architectural Glass, Ryan Heishman from Allen Distribution, Aaron Riggleman representing the PA Chamber of Business and Industry, and Mark Blanchard from Cumberland Valley School District.

Testifiers emphasized the importance of public-private partnerships, economic opportunities, and maintaining an affordable cost of living as vital components for Pennsylvania's prosperity. They also pointed out that bureaucratic hurdles are significant obstacles. Heishman remarked that while Pennsylvania's business environment is strong, it is hampered by complex processes and agencies.

"Today’s hearing shined a spotlight on the need to advance policies that are pro-business, pro-jobs and pro-families," stated Kutz. He expressed his commitment to creating an economic environment where Pennsylvanians can thrive. "By prioritizing legislation that meets these goals, we can make communities across the Commonwealth even better places to live, work and raise a family."

Kail added his perspective on Pennsylvania's potential for economic growth. "One thing I am certain of – we should not be talking about Pennsylvania competing. We should be talking about Pennsylvania dominating," he said. He advocated for reducing government dependency and removing bureaucratic barriers to foster growth and development in the state.

The complete hearing is available online for those interested in further details.
