Shippensburg University freshman Agus Garibaldi was named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Field Hockey Athlete of the Week on Tuesday after totaling five goals, one assists and 11 points in a three-game span.
Garibaldi recorded her second career hat trick after scoring three consecutive goals against IUP during the Saturday Senior Day win. She also added an assist on the sixth and final goal of the game.
Against Converse on Monday, she scored the game-winning goal, and helped the Raider hold back Converse, who was trying to come back in the fourth quarter. After the Valkyries reduced the deficit to make it 2-1, 30 seconds later, Garibaldi then hit a rocket shot on a penalty corner to take a 3-1 lead.
Against Millersville, Garibaldi had the lone goal for the Raiders, with only two shots and one shot on goal.
Garibaldi is ranked #2 in the PSAC for total goals (16) and shots on goal (55) and tied for second in points (38).
It is the second time this season that Garibaldi has been honored as the PSAC Field Hockey Athlete of the Week and the fifth time a Raider was honored this season.
