Grace B. Luhrs University Elementary School issued the following announcement on Oct. 6.

The Shippensburg University women's soccer team came back on Wednesday to win 2-1 in overtime against Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division opponent Mansfield at David See Field.

Shippensburg (4-5-1, 4-3-1 PSAC East) trailed late in the second half but evened the score with 2:54 remaining, as senior K.K. O'Donnell sent the ball into the net off a feed from senior Kelli Dunagan. It is O'Donnell's third goal in the last two matches, and she has now recorded a point in three straight matches.

In overtime, in the 98th minute, Dunagan sent a crossing pass that junior Sydney Miller finished into the net to give the Raiders the win.

Miller's golden goal was the first goal of her collegiate career.

Dunagan totaled two assists; she entered Wednesday's match with just one career assist in 35 career matches.

Mansfield (1-6-2, 0-5-2) scored first, as a free kick from Taylar Luckenbill was handled by Katelyn Rueppel and sent into the net in the 75th minute.

Goalkeeper Stephanie Moir had nine saves for the Mountaineers, while sophomore Kendra Barlow made three saves for the Raiders.

This was the fifth overtime match in the last eight meetings in the series dating back to 2014. It is the seventh straight win for the Raiders against Mansfield.

Shippensburg is off on Saturday and will play again next Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. when it hosts Bloomsburg at David See Field.
