Sheryl M. Delozier, a public figure known for her active engagement in community events and recognition of local achievements, shared several updates on social media regarding recent happenings in Mechanicsburg.
On June 18, 2025, Delozier attended a Mechanicsburg Borough Council meeting where she acknowledged the long-standing service of Chief Myers. She noted that “Tonight at Mechanicsburg’s Borough Council mtg we recognized Chief Myers’ over 40 years of service. I was able to present a House citation.” Chief Myers is celebrated for breaking barriers as the first female Police Chief and began her career as a Mech PO in 1984. Delozier expressed gratitude for her service and congratulated her on retirement.
The following day, June 19, 2025, Delozier invited the public to participate in Jubilee Day in Mechanicsburg. She described it as “the longest running street fair on east coast” featuring food, bands, and vendors. Delozier extended thanks to @MbgChamber for their efforts each year and mentioned sharing a booth with Rep Kutz offering state information.
Later that day, she reported enjoying the festivities at Jubilee Day alongside notable figures such as Sen Keefer and local emergency services personnel. She highlighted the favorable weather conditions by stating “Mother Nature is working with us – so join us!” This event showcased Mechanicsburg’s community spirit with participation from various vendors and bands.
