Scott Perry, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Pennsylvania’s 10th district since 2013, has recently made several statements through his social media account regarding current political issues and events.
On May 21, 2025, Rep. Scott Perry announced his upcoming appearance on CNN with Kaitlan Collins to discuss what he described as “the ONE, BIG BEAUTIFUL BILL.” He addressed criticism from some quarters about not serving the interests of certain members of Congress by stating that “this is what delivering on President Trump’s agenda for the American People looks like.”
The following day, on May 22, 2025, Perry commented on a recent violent incident involving the murder of two Israeli Embassy staffers in Washington. He characterized it as an act of antisemitic terrorism and suggested that “Hamas sympathizers, empowered by the Left,” were responsible for such acts in America. He further linked these events to slogans like “Free Palestine” and “Globalize the Intifada.”
Later that same day, Perry shared an exclusive interview with The Daily Signal where he expressed ongoing concerns about unspecified matters by saying “My biggest reservations, quite honestly, generally still remain.”
As context to his comments and public service career: Scott Perry has been serving in Congress since replacing Todd Platts in 2013. Before this role, he was part of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives from 2007 to 2012. Born in San Diego in 1962 and currently residing in Dillsburg at age 60, Perry graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1991.
