Rep. Scott Perry, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Pennsylvania’s 10th district since 2013, shared several statements on his Twitter account regarding government accountability and policy priorities.
On May 7, 2025, Rep. Perry expressed his views about enhancing accountability within government agencies. He stated, “Great to join @FoxBusiness tonight about restoring accountability and normalcy to the government. Specifically, turning auditing on auditors at the IRS, and saving Beagles from cruel, pointless experiments at the NIH.”
In another tweet on the same day, he outlined objectives in what he referred to as “One Big, Beautiful Bill,” focusing on putting America first by preventing financial burdens on families and prioritizing national security. He explained: “What we’re fighting for in the ‘One Big, Beautiful Bill’ and how we put America First: -preventing a $2,400 tax hike for the average family of four; -funding border security and the deportation of criminal illegal aliens; -limiting wasteful spending on foreign conflicts.”
Additionally, Rep. Perry addressed Medicaid reforms advocated by former President Trump to ensure its sustainability for vulnerable populations by reducing inefficiencies. He tweeted: “President Trump has been very clear: we’re preserving and strengthening Medicaid for pregnant mothers, people with disabilities, and those who need it – by eliminating waste, fraud, and abuse.”
Scott Perry was born in San Diego in 1962 and currently resides in Dillsburg. Before serving in Congress starting in 2013 after succeeding Todd Platts, he was a member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives from 2007 to 2012.
