Rep. Scott Perry, who represents Pennsylvania’s 10th district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of tweets on October 17, 2025, addressing issues related to military pay, government funding, and support for law enforcement.

In a post at 14:06 UTC, Perry questioned priorities in Congressional debates: “So let me get this straight: @RepRaskin is more upset about our Troops getting paid than he was about them NOT getting paid…? And illegals should get ‘free’ healthcare when Americans don’t…? The Left has lost it.”

Later that day at 15:34 UTC, Perry commented on the recovery of Deputy Godfrey: “This is some of the best news I’ve seen in a long while. Deputy Godfrey is a true warrior for more reasons than I can count, and it’s so good to see him up and around after the horror he’s endured. Thank God, his family, friends, and the folks at WellsSpan for helping him get”

At 16:57 UTC, Perry criticized Democratic lawmakers regarding government funding votes: “Democrats have now voted to keep the government closed 10 times. Republicans already voted keep the government open – ensuring our Troops get paid, critical services remain open, and airports keep running. Every day might get better for Schumer, but not for the American”

Perry has served in Congress since 2013 after replacing Todd Platts and previously served in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives from 2007 to 2012. Born in San Diego in 1962 and currently residing in Dillsburg, Perry graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1991.
