Rep. Scott Perry, who represents Pennsylvania’s 10th district in the U.S. Congress, has recently used his social media platform to comment on changes in national energy policy and criticize green energy initiatives.
On August 12, 2025, Perry posted: “American energy is BACK.”
The following day, he expanded on his views regarding recent federal actions and their impact on the energy sector. On August 13, 2025, Perry wrote: “Last month, the last nail in the Green New Scam’s coffin was hammered in by President Trump’s EO ending market-distorting subsidies that bankroll undependable, foreign-controlled energy. The American People want our grid to dominate and thrive, not send us back to the Stone Age.”
On August 14, 2025, Perry addressed concerns about rising consumer costs for electricity: “If you’re tired of watching your energy bills go through the roof, you can thank the ‘Green New Scam.’ The One Big Beautiful Bill unlocked a big win for PA by repealing costly and inefficient ‘green energy’ subsidies. We must let the market work.”
Perry has served as a member of Congress since replacing Todd Platts in 2013 and previously held office in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives from 2007 to 2012. He was born in San Diego in 1962 and resides in Dillsburg. Perry graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1991.
