Rep. Scott Perry, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Pennsylvania’s 10th district, shared his views on various national issues through a series of tweets. Perry, who succeeded Todd Platts in 2013 and previously served in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives from 2007 to 2012, has been vocal about policies affecting American citizens.
On June 18, 2025, Rep. Perry commented on President Trump’s immigration policy by stating that “President Trump promised to end the disastrous ‘Catch & Release’ policy – delivered.” He praised the President for prioritizing American safety.
In a tweet dated June 19, 2025, Perry reflected on a historical moment marking the end of slavery in America. He noted that “Two months after Confederate Gen. Lee surrendered at Appomattox… Union Gen. Granger arrived in Galveston, Texas on June 19, 1865,” where he enforced Lincoln’s Emancipation Proclamation with the announcement “All Slaves are Free!”
On June 20, 2025, Perry expressed concern over the nation’s financial situation by stating that “Our National debt just hit $37 TRILLION.” He urged for action to prevent further financial burden on future generations.
Scott Perry was born in San Diego, California in 1962 and resides in Dillsburg. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Pennsylvania State University obtained in 1991.
