Rep. Scott Perry, who represents Pennsylvania’s 10th district in the U.S. Congress, recently addressed energy prices and foreign policy concerns through a series of posts on his social media account.
On December 1, 2025, Perry commented on the recent drop in gas prices: “Gas prices are around $3/gal for the first time in nearly five years. Still a ways to go in reining in Bidenflation, but we’re certainly making progress.”
Later that day, he raised concerns about rising energy bills and advocated for increased domestic resource development: “We all pay the same ever-increasing energy bills; it’s ridiculous and, frankly, infuriating. Energy affordability starts with SUPPLY. PA is rich in natural resources. Effective, efficient, and responsible drilling can be and has been done. Hydraulic fracturing is a major source” (posted December 1, 2025).
Two days later, Perry turned to international issues with a post regarding Russia’s actions in Ukraine: “Putin must not be able to profit from his barbaric, unjustified, and unilateral invasion of Ukraine. ‘Peace at any cost’ cannot and should not be on the table.” This statement reflects ongoing debate over U.S. policy toward Russia following its invasion of Ukraine.
Perry has represented Pennsylvania’s 10th District since 2013 after succeeding Todd Platts. He previously served as a member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives from 2007 to 2012. Born in San Diego in 1962 and now residing in Dillsburg, Perry earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Pennsylvania State University in 1991.
