Rep. Scott Perry, who represents Pennsylvania’s 10th district in the U.S. Congress, has used his social media platform to comment on congressional ethics, government mandates, and public safety in Washington, D.C.

On August 8, 2025, Perry stated: “I don’t own a single stock. Stock trading as a Member of Congress – when you may influence who wins and loses – isn’t just a bad look. It’s wrong. The American People should expect Congress to do the right thing. Pass the TRUST Act.”

The following day, August 9, he addressed government involvement in education by posting: “Our kids will thrive when government mandates get out of the way.”

On August 11, Perry commented on crime and security in Washington, D.C., writing: “Our Nation’s Capitol should be ‘the shining city on a hill,’ not a playground for thugs. The time to end the ‘wild west’ in D.C. is way overdue.”

Perry has served in Congress since 2013 after succeeding Todd Platts and previously held office in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives from 2007 to 2012. Born in San Diego in 1962 and currently residing in Dillsburg, Perry graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1991.
