Rep. Scott Perry, a U.S. Congressman representing Pennsylvania’s 10th district since 2013, made several statements on his social media account in early August 2025 regarding government spending, congressional ethics, and the rule of law.
On August 4, 2025, Perry posted about taxpayer funding for public messaging: “The era of forcing Taxpayers to pay for propaganda is ending. Good riddance.”
Later that day, he commented on congressional financial interests and public service: “I don’t own a stock – period. Anyone in Congress for reasons other than servant leadership and saving/strengthening our democratic republic needs to go home. Public service is about what you can GIVE, not what you can get. Fortunately, some of my Senate colleagues agreed last” (August 4, 2025).
On August 5, Perry emphasized legal accountability with a brief statement: “No one is above the law.”
Perry has been an active member of Congress since succeeding Todd Platts in 2013 and previously served in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives from 2007 to 2012. He was born in San Diego in 1962 and resides in Dillsburg. Perry graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1991.
