U.S. Representative Scott Perry, who serves Pennsylvania’s 10th district, recently posted a series of statements on his official social media account covering topics from tax policy to historical remembrance and national security.
On September 1, 2025, Perry addressed Labor Day and recent legislative efforts: “Labor Day’s a good reminder that the trappings of our hard work don’t all belong to the government! I’m proud to be on the team that worked tirelessly on the most pro-American Worker tax cut in history to get No Tax on Tips, No Tax on Overtime, and No Tax on Auto-Loan interest.”
The following day, September 2, Perry responded to comments made by the Mayor of Chicago regarding military presence in cities: “The Mayor of Chicago said, ‘We are rejecting the occupation by the military of our cities. That’s actually fighting for our democracy.’ Mr. Mayor: 1) National Guard Troops are not “occupiers,” and how dare you demean them as such – especially since they LIVE in YOUR”
Later that same day, Perry marked an important date in American history: “On September 2, 1945, Imperial Japan formally surrendered to the United States aboard the USS Missouri, bringing the end of World War II. We’re reminded yet again today of the sacrifices of (and our eternal debt to) ‘The Greatest Generation’ in securing peace and our future”
Scott Perry has been representing Pennsylvania’s 10th district in Congress since 2013 after previously serving in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives from 2007 to 2012. Born in San Diego in 1962 and now residing in Dillsburg, Perry graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1991.
