U.S. Representative Scott Perry, who serves Pennsylvania’s 10th district, addressed recent incidents and national priorities in a series of posts on August 7, 2025.

On the morning of August 7, Perry wrote: “In America’s Golden Age, American jobs are for the American People.” Later that day, he commented on violence at a military installation, posting: “Horrified by the attack at Fort Stewart, and praying for the fast and full recovery of the 5 Soldiers who were shot. May the assailant be brought to swift justice to the fullest extent of the law.” In a subsequent post regarding an incident in his home state, Perry stated: “Just learned that two Pennsylvania State Troopers were shot in Susquehanna County this morning. I pray for their full recovery, and for swift justice to the perpetrator.”

Scott Perry has represented Pennsylvania’s 10th congressional district since 2013 after replacing Todd Platts. Before his tenure in Congress, he served in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives from 2007 to 2012. Born in San Diego in 1962 and now residing in Dillsburg, Perry graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1991.
