Rep. Scott Perry, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Pennsylvania’s 10th district, shared his thoughts on several issues through a series of tweets on May 12, 2025. Perry has been a member of Congress since 2013 after replacing Todd Platts and previously served in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives from 2007 to 2012.
On May 12, at 12:39 PM UTC, Perry expressed gratitude towards police officers during National Police Week. He emphasized their bravery and dedication by stating “BACK THE BLUE, it’s #NationalPoliceWeek! This week and every week, we’re grateful for the selfless bravery, sacrifices, and dedication of our police officers who protect and secure us, our loved ones, and our communities. ‘Thank You’ is never enough.”
Later that day at 3:09 PM UTC, Perry commented on efforts to improve Medicaid. He noted the controversy surrounding these efforts in Washington by saying “Who knew? We’re trying to revamp Medicaid to make it better for the people on it, who need it, AND who are paying for it, but this is extremely controversial in Washington? Hmmm…”
At 5:03 PM UTC on the same day, Perry highlighted legislative priorities with a focus on border security and fiscal responsibility. He urged swift action to pass what he called “the ‘One, Big Beautiful Bill'”, which aims to enhance border security and defense spending while eliminating wasteful practices and preventing tax increases for Pennsylvanians.
