Rep. Scott Perry, a U.S. Congressman representing Pennsylvania’s 10th district since 2013, posted a series of statements on social media addressing topics ranging from immigration to historical labor violence and the economic state of Pennsylvania.
On August 26, 2025, Perry commented on U.S. immigration policy, stating: “It’s simple. Come to America – the right way.”
Later that day, Perry referenced a violent incident from the early 1990s involving labor unions, writing: “In 1993, Eddie York was gunned down on his first day on the job by a mob of United Mine Workers Union picketers. His offense? Not belonging to the union. Reprehensibly, the individuals who murdered him were never brought to justice due to inaction by state and local officials and”
On August 27, 2025, Perry addressed economic conditions in Pennsylvania: “Thanks to the hard work and impacts from the federal level, the Keystone State is doing better in many ways since 2020 – and not just with lower gas prices. We’re going to keep PA – and America – on the path to recovery.”
Perry has represented Pennsylvania’s 10th District in Congress since replacing Todd Platts in 2013. Before his tenure in Congress, he served in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives from 2007 to 2012. Born in San Diego in 1962 and currently residing in Dillsburg, Perry holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Pennsylvania State University earned in 1991.
