Residents in the 87th District are invited to participate in several upcoming events organized by Rep. Thomas Kutz (R-Cumberland). The events are designed to recognize the contributions of first responders and veterans in the community.
On Thursday, Oct. 30, from 6 to 8 p.m., Kutz will host a First Responders Dinner at Citizens Fire Co. Station 1, located at 100 Chestnut St., Mt. Holly Springs, Pennsylvania. The dinner is open to members of Citizens Fire Co., first responders, and their families at no cost. During the event, Kutz will thank attendees for their service and discuss issues related to emergency services.
Two Veterans Breakfasts are also scheduled to honor local veterans and active-duty military personnel. The first breakfast will take place on Saturday, Nov. 1, at 8 a.m., at New Kingstown Fire Co. 33, 277 N. Locust Point Road, Mechanicsburg. Kutz is collaborating with New Kingstown Fire Co. 33 to provide a free meal to veterans, service members, and their families.
The second Veterans Breakfast is set for Monday, Nov. 3, at 8:30 a.m., at VFW Post 7530, 4545 Westport Dr., Mechanicsburg. Pennsylvania Attorney General Dave Sunday will be the keynote speaker at this event, which will include discussions on issues affecting veterans. Legislative materials from Kutz’s office will be available for attendees.
“Recognizing the individuals who work hard to serve our community and our country is one of my favorite things about representing the 87th District,” said Kutz. “I am looking forward to working with local partners to put on great events that offer a well-deserved time of fun and fellowship among local heroes. It’s a privilege to recognize first responders and veterans, and I am looking forward to doing so at these events this fall.”
Residents interested in attending are asked to RSVP by calling Kutz’s office at 717-975-2235.
