Rep. Scott Perry, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Pennsylvania’s 10th district since 2013, shared his views on energy policy, veteran care, and border security through a series of tweets on June 10, 2025.
In a tweet posted at 14:29 UTC, Perry criticized government incentives for renewable energy sources such as wind and solar. He stated, “Like your skyrocketing electric bill? You can thank the government that wants to control you (again), for incentivizing people to invest in wind and solar – the 2 most expensive and unreliable sources of energy – instead of the most reliable and inexpensive sources like coal.”
Later that day at 17:14 UTC, Perry highlighted National PTSD Awareness Month. He emphasized the high suicide rates among veterans, stating, “Every, single day, nearly two dozen Veterans commit suicide; America will lose amongst six hundred of her finest this month alone.” He called for providing veterans with dignity through access to recovery paths and quality care.
In another post made at 18:46 UTC, Perry addressed border security funding. He asserted that “The ‘One BBB’ must have ample funding for border security and related operations,” warning that America’s survival depends on it.
Scott Perry was born in San Diego in 1962 but currently resides in Dillsburg. A graduate of Pennsylvania State University with a BS degree obtained in 1991, he has served in various governmental roles including as a member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives from 2007 to 2012 before succeeding Todd Platts in Congress.
