Rep. Scott Perry, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Pennsylvania’s 10th district, shared a series of tweets on June 14, 2025, commemorating significant American symbols and institutions. Perry has been a member of Congress since 2013 after replacing Todd Platts and previously served in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives from 2007 to 2012.
On June 14, Perry expressed his patriotic sentiments by celebrating Flag Day. He tweeted “Happy Flag Day! Today we celebrate the greatest flag on Earth – our beloved ‘Stars and Stripes.’ The American flag was adopted on this day in 1777 as the National standard of the United States, to represent our hard-earned ideals of freedom, equality, and unity.”
Later that day, he acknowledged another milestone by wishing the U.S. Army a happy birthday. In his tweet posted at 15:51:54 UTC, he stated: “Happy 250th Birthday, Army! Since 1775, Soldiers have answered the call to defend our hard-earned freedom and safeguard our Republic. I’m proud to have earned the name ‘Soldier,’ and honor all my brothers- and sisters-in-arms who tirelessly and selflessly serve/have served.”
Scott Perry was born in San Diego, California in 1962 but currently resides in Dillsburg. He graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1991.
