Rep. Scott Perry, a U.S. Congressman representing Pennsylvania’s 10th district since 2013, recently shared several statements on social media addressing various issues of national and international concern.
On May 5, 2025, Perry acknowledged Military Appreciation Month by expressing gratitude for the service members’ sacrifices and courage. He stated, “May is Military Appreciation Month. We stand united in gratitude for the sacrifices and steadfast courage of our Service Members all over the world. May God bless you and keep you safe. ‘Thank you’ is never enough.”
Later that day, Perry addressed animal testing practices by federal agencies such as NIH, DOD, and CDC. He recounted meeting “Uno,” a dog involved in laboratory experiments, emphasizing the financial magnitude of these tests: “Last year, I was honored to meet ‘Uno,’ one of the 48,000 dogs subjected to horrific, brutal, and absolutely unnecessary laboratory experiments. Agencies like the NIH, DOD, and CDC spend a staggering $20 BILLION annually on experimental animal testing in and outside of the US.”
In another post on May 5th at 21:52 UTC, Perry discussed legislative efforts concerning human rights abuses in China with his Falun Gong Protection Act: “No other nation butchers its own people quite like Communist China. Today, the House once again passed HR 1540, my Falun Gong Protection Act, the first bill to take legal action against an atrocity happening right before our eyes.” The bill aims to address alleged atrocities against practitioners of Falun Gong.
Scott Perry was born in San Diego in 1962 and has been active in politics since serving in Pennsylvania’s House of Representatives from 2007 until his congressional election.
