Rep. Scott Perry, U.S. Congressman representing Pennsylvania’s 10th district since 2013, recently posted a series of statements on his social media account addressing international protests in Iran, the role of law enforcement officers in the United States, and allegations of fraud involving government funds.
On January 8, 2026, Perry commented on demonstrations in Iran, stating: “The Iranians are protesting horrific and enduring oppression by an illegitimate government. I’m in awe of their courage and fortitude as they fight for their freedom.”

Later on January 9, Perry addressed concerns regarding alleged fraudulent activity related to earmarked funds: “Yesterday at @GOPoversight: Fraud this egregious – i.e., earmarks sending money to families with ties to ISIS, and manipulating votes to support particular candidates – was only possible because @GovTimWalz did nothing to stop it.”
Scott Perry has represented Pennsylvania’s 10th District in Congress since replacing Todd Platts in 2013. Prior to his tenure in Congress, he served in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives from 2007 to 2012. Born in San Diego in 1962 and currently residing in Dillsburg, Perry holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Pennsylvania State University.
