Rep. Scott Perry, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress representing Pennsylvania’s 10th district since 2013, recently took to social media to express his views on various political issues. His comments reflect ongoing concerns about government spending and welfare programs.
On May 16, 2025, Rep. Perry tweeted about the need for a comprehensive legislative package, emphasizing that “President Trump and America needs ‘One Big, Beautiful Bill.'” He criticized current fiscal policies by stating that “frontloading massive spending for ‘savings’ down the road – which NEVER materializes – is the status quo in this swamp,” suggesting that special interests misuse taxpayer money.
Later that day, Perry highlighted issues with Medicaid through another tweet, arguing that “RIGHT NOW, Medicaid is no longer for the poor. THIS. MUST. CHANGE.” This statement reflects his stance on healthcare reforms and welfare eligibility criteria.
In a subsequent post on May 17, 2025, Perry remarked on fiscal accountability by asserting that “Math doesn’t care what politicians say.” The comment underscores his belief in objective financial scrutiny over political rhetoric.
Scott Perry was born in San Diego in 1962 and currently resides in Dillsburg. He graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1991.
