Rep. Thomas Kutz of Cumberland has been appointed as the Republican vice chair for the newly established House Intergovernmental Affairs and Operations Committee. His role will involve supporting the committee’s operations and advocating for greater efficiency and transparency.
“It is a privilege to be appointed to serve as vice chair of the House Intergovernmental Affairs and Operations Committee for the 2025-26 session. I am pleased to have the opportunity to help advance key initiatives through this committee and to help build the work of this new committee for future sessions,” said Kutz.
He further expressed his commitment: “I look forward to advancing initiatives through the committee that support efficiency and transparency, while delivering on my commitment to making Pennsylvania a better place to live, work, and raise a family.”
The new committee was established in this legislative session, with legislation referred covering various topics from previous sessions, including right-to-know laws, Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association matters, interstate agreements, federal relations, among others. As vice chair, Kutz will collaborate with colleagues in reviewing legislation and developing solutions tailored to these issues.
