Professor James Lohrey, Communication/Journalism & Media recently presented his research-in-progress at the annual National Communication Association conference in New Orleans, November 16-19. His research, A Qualitative Grounded Theory Study Exploring the Lack of Identifiable Queer Youth on Television Impacting Social Norms for Queer Young Adults, serves as the basis for Lohrey’s upcoming dissertation that he is currently working on at IUP.  Aside from his presentation, Lohrey also participated in two short courses,  one in media literacy and the other in qualitative research.
