The four-year public institution in Shippensburg enrolled 6,381 students in fall 2018, including 5,487 in undergraduate and 894 in graduate programs, data shows. 5.2 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

92 percent of undergraduates are residents of Pennsylvania, and 7 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (75 percent) and Black or African American (11 percent).

The school admitted 88 percent of the 5,540 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 28 percent enrolled.
